Website Hosting & Maintenance Packages

We offer four levels of hosting & maintenance packages: Basic, Standard, Plus & Professional. Make a choice depending on how much you’d like us to do on a monthly basis, on your behalf.

Annual net pricing

  • All prices are based on 12 months paid in advance (by doing so, you get 2 months hosting & maintenance for free!)
  • All prices are net (exclude sales tax)

Free migration

If you have an existing website hosted elsewhere, we will migrate it to our hosting for free (and in doing so, check for, and clean any malware that might have compromised your site.)

Managed WordPress Hosting

We host sites on our UK based servers and limit the number of sites hosted on each server ensuring maximum performance. **Website hosting costs can be higher for very large websites/ecommerce stores, if your website falls into this category we will let you know.

Backups

Problems happen, it’s impossible to stop hackers, hardware failures or simple human error, to protect against this is essential to have regular backups of your website. All our packages include backups. If something should go wrong, we can restore your site at no cost to you.

CMS & plugin updates

Our maintenance packages are designed for websites that use the WordPress Content Management Systems (CMS). This system requires frequent updates to ensure your website receives the latest security and feature updates. All of our packages include this by default, its essential in helping to secure a website.

SSL certificate

It’s increasingly important to ensure your website is secure, Google even rank sites who have SSL (https://) enabled on their site higher. All of our hosting & maintenance packages include an SSL certificate to ensure your site content is encrypted when viewed by any visitor. mOur monitoring system keeps track of the SSL certificate to ensure it remains active and any mixed content issues are resolved.

Included hours

Inside the Standard, Plus and Professional packages you are entitled to a specified number of hours of support per month. The hours expire if not used. This means that at the end of each month any unused hours will expire, and the next month’s hours will be available. Unused hours are not refundable, and they do not roll-over to the next month. Please note that on the Basic package there is no time included to update your website content. This means that from the moment of handing over the website, you are fully responsible for any updates or edits to your website content, but if you would like us to carry out any updates, you can enjoy a discounted hourly rate.

Website support

Whether it be adding blog posts, changing existing web pages, image editing or fixing problems you let us know any issues you’re having, and we’ll fix them. If you need more time than that included in your plan, we’ll quote for it and complete changes once approved.

24/7 site monitoring

No one knows when something might go wrong, or a temporary issue can cause outages, that’s why our Standard, Plus and Professional maintenance customers have their sites covered with our 24/7 monitoring. Our monitoring system alerts us to issues within one minute of them happening meaning we can react and help to fix problems as soon as possible, without you needing to contact us.

Client support portal

We have a dedicated email address for our customers to raise issues and request help, we aim to get back to any request within 24 to 48 hours Monday to Friday. In addition, utilising our ticketing system our customers can have access to their own portal. Perfect for raising issues and seeing work streams of ongoing jobs. All service requests must be made via support ticket at redstarworks.com/ticket/ or by sending an email to support@redstarworks.com (which automatically creates a support ticket for you).

Content delivery network (CDN)

A CDN is a group of servers hosting your most frequently requested content across servers globally. If a visitor from the US visits your site, this content will be delivered from a server in the US, rather than the UK, meaning they receive the content faster. This helps improve performance, particularly for larger websites and is included with our Professional package.

Site audit report

On the Plus and Professional packages, each month we run an audit of your site which includes many technical factors such as broken links, missing meta titles and many other factors which can help with search engine ranking. Subject to time remaining on your monthly support hours we’ll work to help fix as many of these as we can. Please note, some issues may be too technical without a deeper rebuild of the site and are subject to how many issues arise, fixes may take several months but can be looked at as an additional fixed priced project if required.

Site performance report

We use site performance tools to check for performance issues such as page loading time. Subject to time remaining each month on your support hours we’ll work to fix issues that may arise. Please note, each website is vastly different, certain functionality may mean we cannot improve performance without significant changes, but the report is an excellent guide to how well your site performs for visitors and search engines.

Re-Training

Sometimes your staff move on and we are requested to re-train a new hire, responsible for your website. If you are on one of our four plans, we will re-train your staff at our discounted rate of ¥315 per hour. Re-training can be done via Skypeor Zoomvideo conference call in English or Chinese language. Please ask about in-person re-training at either our Qingdao (China) or Brighton & Hove (UK) offices.
